Submitting Information

Use this e-mail address to submit material for inclusion on this web site: This is not a clickable link. Please type the address in the To: box of your message. If you want to send materials by snail mail, please contact me by e-mail for the address of the Snyder Community Historical Project.

photos - Send as e-mail attachments (jpg files). Please give as much identification of subjects as possible: names, dates, locations, events, etc. Indicate whether identification is original (e.g. written on the back close to the time the photo was taken) or secondary (e.g. your grandpa told you that the photo was taken at his high school graduation). Photo credit will be given to the submitter when the original or an unpublished copy is in his/her possession. Please do not submit photos that are already copyrighted by someone else.

family stories, transcriptions, other writings - Please document your material: names, dates, locations, etc. If you have an original primary source (e.g. private letter to you from your grandma), please consider submitting the whole document. Sometimes names that don't mean anything to you will be recognized by another reader.

research findings - Please document your sources in such a way that others can find the original. Complete transcriptions are preferred over excerpts.

web site URLs - Share links that would help this web site's visitors access on-line material related to the Snyder Community. For example, I have a link to the Mennonite Historical Bulletin's on-line transcription of James A. Snyder's article "The Snyder Community at Plainview, Texas."

Data from public records (marriage, birth, and death records, census facts, deeds, previously published information, publicly accessible archival materials, etc.) are considered unrestricted, based on their availability. When such data are published on this web site, sources will be disclosed.

Submissions of documented additions, corrections, and clarifications are welcome.
