Snyder, James A. "The Snyder Community at Plainview, Texas," Mennonite Historical Bulletin Vol. LXIII (July 2002).
James A. Snyder is a grandson of Peter B. Snyder; see article transcription.Swartzendruber, George and Grace. "A Letter to the Editor (Concerning Plainview, Texas)," Mennonite Historical Bulletin Vol. XXIV (January 1969).
Grace Snyder Swartzendruber, the youngest child of Peter B. and Ida Grabill Snyder, was born August 4, 1907, in a tent, the temporary housing of the Snyder family in the new Mennonite colony in Texas. This letter to the editor was written in response to a previously published article about "the settlement of the Littlefield lands in Lamb County, Texas." The Swartzendrubers shared a few "reminiscences" about the early days of the Snyder Community. Following their letter are five letters that had been published in 1907-09. It is unclear whether these early letters were submitted by the Swartzendrubers or selected by the MHB editor.Snyder, P. B. "Plainview, Texas, May 31, 1907." Gospel Witness (June 12, 1907). [ p. 169]
