John Hartzler, born May 25, 1864, in Urbana, Ohio, the son of Joel and Lydia (PLANK) HARTZLER; died Nov. 4, 1940 [Colorado Springs, Colorado]
m(1) 20 Jan 1892 to Elizabeth Alice "Lizzie" HARSHBARGER, born 4 March, 1864, in Mattawana, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Jonas and Pauline J. (YERGER) HARSHBARGER; died 17 Aug 1897. Children - Jonas H., Harry E., and Pauline May (Mrs. James A. Leroy) [Sarah Hartzler's obituary lists her stepdaughter Ada Ringler of Colorado Springs in 1954. I don't know who that is.]
m(2) Jan. 22, 1899 Sarah STOUFFER, born. Feb 24, 1869, in Columbiana, Ohio, the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth (BLOSSER) STOUFFER. Children - Lydia Elizabeth, born 3 Feb 1900, died 15 Aug 1927, unm. and Ada Naomi, born 25 Nov 1902
